Cordon Negro Brut is crisp, clean, and well balanced. It is medium-bodied with a palate of apple, pear and bright citrus flavors with a moderately long finish and a crisp touch of ginger. This wine is extremely versatile and pairs well with most food.
Wine Enthusiast 88 points - Keeps the Cordon Negro reputation healthy by delivering easygoing lemon-lime aromas and round citrus and apple flavors. As correct as one can ask for, this large-production cava features pure-fruit character and a perfectly good mouthfeel. For the money, we give it the proverbial high-five. M.S. (Dec 2006)

Prospering through all of life’s joys, and enduring its sorrows, the Freixenet winery transformed its small start into a name known around the world. Gracefully gathering compliments, awards, and millions of cava fans, Freixenet applies the highest standards in winemaking for consistent quality and value. The third and fourth generations of the Ferrer family continue to attend to all the details that make their cavas the world’s preferred sparkling wines.
