Bond is a newer winery that produced its first wines in 1997. It is guided and operated by the winemaking team of Harlan Estate. They produce six different types of Cabernet Sauvignon based wines, each having their own cellar. The intent of the winery is to create a staple of Napa Valley Grand Cru' offerings, with each vineyard reflecting the varying terroir of America's premier source of Cabernet Sauvignon. The name Melbury is in homage to an historic area in London, where the estate owners reside much of the year.
