After prohibition, Ernest and Julio Gallo found their winery in Central Valley. Today 15 family members of Gallo are directly involved with the winery. Their philosophy has been the same since 1933 "Make each vintage better than the last."
As grand-daughter of the cofounder, Gina Gallo strives to carry on the family tradition of producing the best wines. Her goal is to make deep wine with a little mystery, but with "wow" in them as well. Matt Gallo is a third generation wine grower. He believes that the secret to growing the best grapes is to work intimately with nature.
