This wine is a perfect reflection of the terroir, with pale straw color, intense aromas of grass and exotic fruit. It has a long finish and well- balanced complexity.
The Sant'Elena Estate was founded in XIX century by the Klodic family. The winery survived through the hard years of war and managed to keep its identity. In 1960 the entire farm was planted for vines. In the 1990's the estate was acquired by Dominic Nocrino. His aim is to promote the potential of the zone Isonzo and to bring up the characteristics of the terroir. Sant'Elena wines are the result of the extreme research for the quality that starts with a great job done in the vineyards by costant care of every plant, every grape. The harvest is made entirely by hand, with careful selection. As a result the winery produces only one bottle per plant. The estate harvests grapes only from their own vineyards.
