Classic cabernet aroma characters of ripe red cherries and cassis. This is a fruit-driven wine that was harvested under ideal conditions of ripeness. A fantastic cabernet that emphasizes fruit-forward aromas and flavors. Black stone fruit, cassis, good extract on the entry to the palate, followed by flavors of black cherries. Flavors are full, with density on the palate. The tannins are developed and round on the palate.”

Producer
On the western shores of Chile`s Tinguiririca River, near Rapel Lake, La Playa Vineyards occupies some of the Colchagua Valley`s most desirable acreage. With near-perfect growing conditions, but still relatively undeveloped, Colchagua has been described as "The Next Napa" by Wine Enthusiast. Its pure water comes from snowmelt on the Tinguiririca Volcano in the Andes. La Playa Vineyards, known in Chile as Viña La Playa S.A., is a joint venture between the Axelsen (California), Errazuriz (Chile), and Sutil (Chile) families. La Playa`s winemaking team is headed by Chilean winemaker Diego García de la Huerta Sutil and "flying winemaker" Scott Peterson of Sonoma Valley. The team is youthful and technologically savvy, with great faith in the scientific approach to viticulture and enology. Under their expert guidance, optimal vineyard management practices and a state-of-the-art, large-capacity winery combine to foster the production of fine, estate-bottled wines. Currently under construction is a spacious new bodega dedicated to the future refinement of La Playa`s reserve program.
