Luca Winery is named after the owner Laura Catena's son. The family crest (McDermott Family) that appears in the label's background is that of Laura's husband, Dan. Laura is continually inspired by the synthesis of cultures in her own family and this international inspiration infuses the stay and quality of her wines. She has a vision of creating a new breed of Argentine wines small quantities, artisan quality and true to their terroirs. Laura is a pioneer in Mendoza for working closely with small growers to grow very high quality grapes from some of Argentina's best low-yield, high elevation vineyards.

Technical notes

Alcohol 13.9% Fermentation 100% Malolactic fermentation. Aged sur lies. Light fining and very light filtration. It is aged for 12 months 50% New oak 50% 1 year old French barriques. Vineyard Characteristics The vineyard has diverse weather with a cold mountain range and warm plains. The elevation goes up to 4,710 feet.
