Viridian Pinot Noir Oregon

2007

Viridian is a color halfway between the deep blue cloudless Oregon summer sky and the dark green leaves of our vineyards. It perfectly symbolizes the Olsen Family's role of working in partnership with the earth. The Olsen Family has farmed the Willamette Valley for five generations, so they know the land well. They searched out the best vineyard sites and soil types and do everything they can to produce the most intense, concentrated grapes possible. Their goal is simple grow the best grapes and make the best wine. Winemaker Jamie and Roger Olsen
| Tasting notes |
| Only the second release from the Olsen Family, Oregon's largest owner of agricultural land. The 2007 is a more refined, elegant Pinot Noir, typical of the Willamette Valley. Its medium body makes it the perfect match for seafood (think Northwest Salmon), chicken of medium rare steak off the grill. |

Review: Very light and fruity Pinot Noir from Oregon, wonderful summer red, very balanced with a nice lingering finish. A lot of really good Pinot Noirs come from Oregon, and if you still haven't discovered this region for yourself, it is time to begin. great wine for the great price! |
