Modernist Project Wines are made to be simple, yet putting as much in the bottle as possible. Owner, Charles Smith wants the wine to taste like the grape and the grape to taste like the land where it was grown. His philosophy is land to hand, vineyard to bottle, which is stated on the label.
Charles is originally from California and grew up with a love for wine. He spent 11 years in Scandinavia where he managed rock bands. He then moved to Walla Walla Valley and started the Modernist Project.
