| fermentatio/agin: malolactic fermentation in barrels. Aged 11 months in 40% New French oak barrels then 3 months settling in the tank. It is bottled unfiltered. Vineyard Characteristics: The syrah grapes come from a blend of the following vineyards: 30% Dutton-Widdoes, 18% Hansel, 16% Dutton-Gregori, 12% Hanna, 12% Trenton Station and 12% Crinella. All the vineyards are composed of goldridge loam soil with wet winters. |
