In 1998 a group of passionate winemakers from Italy and Argentina fulfilled their dream by founding Achaval-Ferrer based on two principals the search for the highest quality in all the products and respect for the terroir. They pushed the potential of Argentina's winemaking to the extreme heights. Achaval Ferrer Finca Altamira is a true expression of diverse terroir of Uco Valley, Mendoza. Malbec is a flagship variety for the wine. Finca Altamira's vineyard personality shines through each vintage with a recognizable and repeated signature. Achaval-Ferrer is a real treat. 100% French oak barrel fermentation and complicated aging process resulted in sophisticated, round and lush Malbec. Loaded with black fruit, licorice notes, it is smooth and elegant at the same time. Lingering finish is complimented by oak spice.
