Jelu Estate was founded in 2002, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, with the aim of offering winemaking consultancy services by providing technical, marketing and sales advice to help our South American clients export wine. The name Jelu, which means "sun" comes from the Huarpe Indian language. Jelu wines are made in different regions within Argentina to showcase the adequate climate and terroir characteristics, leading to extraordinary varietals. All of Jelu, from the winery and its employees to the vineyards, is firmly entrenched in an environmental consciousness.
Grown in soil with characteristics similar to those found in the area of Burgundy, this hearty Pinot Noir is red in color, with sweet blueberry and plum aromas, as well as a hint of thyme. Juicy plum, wild raspberries, black cherry and mulberry flavors are balanced by fresh acidity with rich mineral notes from the iron-rich soil.
