Café de Paris Description

“If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.” Ernest Hemingway.

The winery was created in the late 1800s in Cubzac-les-Ponts (a town also known for its grand Eiffel bridge) on the limestone banks of the Dordogne river between Bordeaux and Libourne by Jacques Cousteau’s uncle.

The “Café de Paris” name places the product geographically but also historically and, having been around for so long, it is the only alcoholic brand allowed to use the word “Paris”. CDP was the name of a Café on Cubzac’s main street

The label’s wave-shaped CDP logo brings motion and reminisces of the ‘Belle Epoque’/Roaring 20s era.
The colored medallion matching the label design with gold cap decorated with scrolls supports the brand’s DNA

Winemaker Bruno Kessler uses the Charmat method and extensive Batonnage.
This “French touch” adds an elegant finish and creates very fine bubbles.
